What is 24K gold?

What should I NOT use to clean my jewelry?
Avoid the following, as they can damage metals, stones, and settings:
- Bleach or chlorine – Weakens gold alloys and can cause discoloration or structural damage.

- Toothpaste – Abrasive and can scratch metal surfaces and softer stones.
- Baking soda – Also abrasive; avoid on polished metals and delicate stones.
- Ultrasonic cleaners at home – Can loosen prongs and damage certain gemstones (e.g., emeralds, opals, pearls).

Are there gemstones that require special care?
Yes. Certain gemstones are more delicate and require extra caution:
